This summer the New Orleans BioInnovation Center (NOBIC) is welcoming Honey Loaf, a contemporary sandwich lounge, to the city’s Medical District. Located in the lobby of NOBIC’s state-of-the-art facility at 1441 Canal Street, Honey Loaf is serving our area’s hungry medical practitioners, students and business members breakfast, lunch and dinner from 7:00am to 7:00pm on weekdays and 10:00am to 6:00pm on weekends. Life sciences: All jazzed up

A key component of the BioDistrict is the 6,000-square-metre New Orleans BioInnovation Center, a non-profit life-sciences business incubator focused on university research and located on Canal Street near the French Quarter – close to the hub of New Orleans’ economic activity, and to Tulane and the LSU Health Sciences Center.


Tax credit program targets ‘angel’ investors

Angel investors in the state have a new state-funded incentive program to refund part of their investment through tax credits. The idea is the incentive program will work as the sweetener for investors entertaining the idea of funding a new startup.
