Two Local Teams Win International Neuro Startup Challenge

Launched last summer, the Neuro Startup Challenge offered student teams around the world the chance to compete to license NIH-developed technologies in neuroscience. Teams spent the past year developing business plans and pitches on technologies in brain cancer, cognitive disorders, and more, and two teams of students from New Orleans were recently named winners of the competition. The winning teams now have the opportunity to negotiate a license with NIH and begin to commercialize their respective technologies in ADHD and vascular disease.

InnoGenomics Technologies has been recognized in the Congressional Record by Senator David Vitter, Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship. The company was recognized as Small Business of the Day during the 2015 National Small Business Week for their work to advance novel human forensic identification and cancer diagnostic technologies.
