Launched last summer, the Neuro Startup Challenge offered student teams around the world the chance to compete to license NIH-developed technologies in neuroscience. Teams spent the past year developing business plans and pitches on technologies in brain cancer, cognitive disorders, and more, and two teams of students from New Orleans were recently named winners of the competition. The winning teams now have the opportunity to negotiate a license with NIH and begin to commercialize their respective technologies in ADHD and vascular disease.
