We saw major growth in our state’s life sciences community in 2016. Our Commercialization team provided free consulting services to more than 50 startups and presented more than 20 educational events for over 1,100 attendees, and the New Orleans BioFund closed funding deals with seven local businesses. Startups we support formed new partnerships, expanded their product sales nationwide and internationally, raised new funding, and much more.
