BARDA DRIVe released Special Instructions to the Broad Agency Announcement (BAA), with funding of up to $8 million for more mature technologies than under the EZ BAA (which is capped at $749,000). The deadline is May 28, 2019.

The Special Instructions solicitation is limited to technologies in specific focus areas:

For the Solving Sepsis priority area, DRIVe is seeking:
1. Advanced Research and Development of Sepsis Diagnostics and Devices
2. Post-sepsis Monitoring

For the ENACT (Early Notification to Act Control and Treat) priority area, DRIVe is seeking:
1. On-person, Wearable, and Biosensing Devices (Host Response and Direct Pathogen Detection)
